With the start of a new school year comes the start of so many things. We all take on so much we sometimes forget to finish the race. If you have watched the Olympics you have probably seen the commercial on Derek Redmond. He was a runner on the British track team who tore a hamstring about 100 meters into the 400 meter dash. What is happened next is history. He got up and in all of his pain started hobbling towards the finish line. To make this moment even sweeter his father came on to the track to help his son finish the race.
I am attaching two videos, both important to recognize this event. The first is the Visa commercial...the next is a video of the race put to music that shows the entire event. I admit...I teared up when his father got to him.
I hope that as we all take on new tasks in the near future we remember Derek Redmond....and FINISH THE RACE!

I've always liked that Visa commercial, but I've never seen the full race until now. It was awesome and inspiring. It's very fitting for the start of this school year.
Congratulations on the new baby....your kids are the cutest things, but be aware....they grow up tooooooo fast.
