I went hunting with the kids again tonight(with no gun). A couple of weeks ago I went with them and they totally drove me crazy. A friend of mine at school suggested a new plan. She said.....When you go with them...go for them...not for you. Then next time leave them at home and go for you.
Wow...I was going about this thing the wrong way. I thought I was teaching them how to hunt....all that I was teaching them was how to hate hunting and hate going with their dad. I appreciate the advice from my friend...tonight we went hunting FOR THEM. It was great. Here is the video...We even had some excitement when Kaitlyn lost a tooth in the deer blind...Thanks for the advice Faith!

Soak these days up! How fun! I'm thinking Kaitlyn is one tough girl who can hold her own! I should have had more kids!!!

1.) LoVe the advice!! I totally agree. There is nothing wrong with just going to spend time with the kids, AND nothing wrong with leaving them at home some to actually get to use your gun!!:) Great plan!
2.) Does Kaitlyn have any teeth left in her mouth??:) That girl is always losing a tooth!! She's one tough cookie...especially when you told her to "just suck it down" refering to the BLOOD!!!:) Cracked me up!!
3.) I almost fell out of my chair laughing when she said, "well, shoulda brought your own snack!" That was awesome, Kaitlyn!! I bet next time you remember a snack Dad!!
